Terms of Service

Welcome to betterlanders.com (“betterlanders.com”, “we”, “us”, “our”), the legal entity operating this service. By accessing or using our service at betterlanders.com and app.betterlanders.com you agree to these terms. Please read them carefully before using the service.
1. The service
betterlanders is an AI-assisted landing page builder. You provide a brief, URL, or reference, our service generates HTML landing pages you can edit via chat, publish under our domain or your own custom domain, and export.
2. Accounts
- You must be at least 13 years old (16 in the EEA/UK) to use the service.
- You are responsible for keeping your account credentials secure.
- One account per person. You may invite teammates into a workspace.
- You must provide accurate information when creating your account.
3. Acceptable use
You agree not to use betterlanders to generate or publish content that:
- Is illegal, fraudulent, deceptive, or infringes a third party’s rights.
- Promotes hate, harassment, violence, or self-harm.
- Distributes malware, phishing pages, or scams.
- Impersonates a person or organisation you don’t represent.
- Violates applicable laws in your jurisdiction or your audience’s jurisdiction.
We reserve the right to unpublish any lander and suspend any account that we reasonably believe violates these terms, without prior notice.
To report a page hosted by betterlanders.com that is abusive, fraudulent, phishing, or infringing, email abuse@betterlanders.com. See our Abuse & Takedown Policy for how reports are handled and how to file a DMCA notice.
4. Your content
You retain all rights to the briefs, copy, images, and other content you submit. By using the service, you grant us a limited, worldwide, non-exclusive licence to host, render, transform, and serve that content as needed to operate the service (e.g. storing your HTML in object storage and serving it when a visitor opens your lander).
Generated HTML is yours to use however you like, including hosting it elsewhere. You may not resell or white-label the service itself without a separate agreement.
5. AI-generated content
Our service uses third-party LLMs (currently Anthropic Claude, Groq Llama, and others) to generate text and layout decisions. Outputs are produced on demand based on your input and our system prompts. They are not reviewed by a human before display. You are responsible for verifying accuracy, originality, and legal suitability before publishing or distributing any generated content.
We do not guarantee that generations will be unique across users. We do not claim copyright over generated outputs. AI outputs may occasionally be inaccurate, biased, or incomplete.
6. Plans, credits & payments
Our order process is conducted by our online reseller Paddle.com. Paddle.com is the Merchant of Record for all our orders. Paddle provides all customer service inquiries and handles returns.
- Free plan: 25 generation credits per month, auto-reset every 30 days. 1 active lander, 20 AI edits per day. A “Made with betterlanders” badge appears on published pages.
- Pro plan: $20/month for 250 credits per month (~50 generations). Up to 10 active landers, 100 AI edits per day, up to 3 variants per lander. No attribution badge. Custom domain support included.
- Pro+ plan: $49/month for 500 credits per month (~100 generations). Up to 20 active landers, 200 AI edits per day, up to 3 variants per lander. Includes Shopify product sync. All Pro features included.
- Business plan: Custom pricing — contact hello@betterlanders.com.
- Credits reset monthly and do not roll over. Failed generations are refunded automatically.
- Subscriptions renew automatically until cancelled. You may cancel at any time through your Paddle billing portal — cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period.
- Please contact Paddle directly at paddle.com/support for billing questions, invoices, or to dispute a charge before initiating a chargeback with your card issuer.
- Prices may change with 30 days’ notice. Existing subscriptions are honoured at the locked price until the next renewal after notice.
7. Refunds
Our full refund policy is available at betterlanders.com/refund-policy.
In summary: we offer a 30-day money-back guarantee on Pro and Pro+ subscriptions. If you are not satisfied within 30 days of your first payment, contact hello@betterlanders.com for a full refund. EU/EEA/UK consumers additionally have a statutory 14-day right of withdrawal from the date of their first subscription payment.
All refunds are processed by Paddle as the Merchant of Record. Failed AI generations are refunded in credits automatically — no request needed.
8. Third-party integrations (Shopify)
The Shopify integration (Pro+ plan) allows you to connect your Shopify store and link product data to your landing pages. By connecting your store you authorise us to read product information (titles, prices, images, variant data) via the Shopify Admin API using credentials you provide. We do not store payment card data or customer personal data from your Shopify store.
Snapshot data — not live sync. Product information (including prices, availability, and descriptions) is captured at the time you link a product to a lander variant. This snapshot is not automatically updated when you change product data in Shopify. If you update a price, change a product title, or delete a product in Shopify, your published landing page will continue to display the original snapshotted data until you manually re-link the product or regenerate the lander.
You are solely responsible for ensuring that the product data displayed on your published pages is accurate, up-to-date, and compliant with applicable consumer protection laws in your jurisdiction and your audience’s jurisdiction. This includes but is not limited to: price accuracy obligations under the EU Price Indication Directive (2019/2161), the UK Consumer Rights Act 2015, the US FTC Act Section 5 (deceptive pricing), and equivalent rules under Indian Consumer Protection Act 2019. Displaying an outdated price that differs from the actual checkout price may constitute a misleading commercial practice under these laws — it is your responsibility to keep your landers current.
We are not liable for any claims, disputes, fines, or losses arising from inaccurate or stale product data displayed on your landing pages. We recommend re-linking products or republishing your landers whenever you update pricing or availability in Shopify.
9. Availability
We aim for high availability but do not guarantee uninterrupted service. Maintenance windows, third-party outages (Supabase, Anthropic, Vercel, Fly.io, Upstash, Paddle), and beta-stage instability may temporarily affect access. We are not liable for losses arising from such interruptions.
10. Disclaimer
The service is provided as-is and as-available, without warranties of any kind. To the maximum extent permitted by law, we disclaim all implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement.
11. Limitation of liability
To the extent allowed by law, our total liability for any claim arising from your use of the service is capped at the greater of (a) the amount you paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim, or (b) USD 100. We are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages, including loss of revenue, profits, data, or goodwill.
Nothing in these terms limits liability for fraud, death, or personal injury caused by our negligence, or any other liability that cannot be excluded by law.
12. Termination
You may cancel your account at any time via the settings page or by emailing us. We may suspend or terminate access if you breach these terms or if we are required to do so by law. Upon termination, published landers will be taken offline. We will retain your data per our Privacy Policy retention schedule.
13. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms from time to time. Material changes will be announced in-app or by email at least 14 days before taking effect. Continued use after the effective date constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.
14. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of England & Wales. Disputes will be resolved in the courts of England & Wales, unless mandatory consumer law in your jurisdiction provides otherwise. EU consumers may also use the EU Online Dispute Resolution platform at ec.europa.eu/odr.
